Sky Go not working (Error 001)

It would make total sense if Sky did their duty and halted the merri-go-round that stupid error message puts people on, often for months. I hope they take your advice for them to supply user DAGW92 solution at point of error code instead of the useless unhelpful 'try again'.

What "top toolbar"? i have never seen anything on a Mac which answers to this description, let alone having Sky Go in it.
