I have rebooted devices and router, reinstalled the app and tried a different WiFi network but still get the same issue.

My sky go is also not working as of today which is annoying because we are in the process of moving and are using the Xbox to watch tv while we wait to set things up properly, third time this week it has failed, will probably be cancelling the contract if this continues

Have you tried Sky Go using your mobiles data rather than your broadband?

Switching to data on mobile does indeed allow me to connect via Sky Go. The WiFi networks tested earlier are entirely separate but provided by the same ISP.

Sounds like mobile data is being routed differently that broadband, at least you know the app is fine and the issue is with the Internet connection
Maybe contact your ISP with your findings so far
