Re: MacOS Sonoma 14.6 update seems to have killed Sky Go
Hi @Daniel-F ,
No, still no difference on either an M1 Macbook Air or M2 Mac Mini, both running MacOS 14.6. Steps taken per instructions:
1) Completely uninstalled Sky Go app,
2) Deleted downloaded versions of installer
3) Set "Open using Rosetta" check box in Safari
4) Relaunched Safari (This will not download Rosetta as you imply as it is already installed because the Sky Go app is an X64 app needing Rosetta so would have already been installed)
5) Downloaded SkyGo installer from Sky Website (for MacOS)
6) Ran installer
7) Launched Sky Go App
😎Received exactly the same error message
PC Register does not match crashing frame (0x0 vs 0x1006BAA78)
Crashed Thread 0 Dispatch queue: com.apple.main-thread
Exception Type: EXC_GUARD (SIGKILL)
Exception Code: GUARD_TYPE_MACH_PORT
Exception Codes: 0x0000000000000000 0x0000000000000000
Termination Reason: Namespace GUARD, Code 2305843022098595840
For completeness both devices were already running Sky Go for MacOS Version 24.1.3-2 on MacOS 14.5 and both were running without promblem Monday, prior to MacOS 14.6 security update

Indeed, i just tested this out as well, Sky Go opened fine, then i upgraded to from 14.5 to 14.6 and Sky Go crashes on launch.

Re: Sky Go macOS app does not open after latest update.
That's what I've found too - 14.5 works and anything later doesn't so I'm convinced it's the sky go app coding not allowing anything greater than 14.5.
Ive reverted and stopped automatic OS updates for now

Re: Sky Go macOS app does not open after latest update.
I think these are two separate problems, this thread started back in May (so pre-dates) Apple MacOS 14.6 update.
The problem that I have and several others since yesterday is specifically related to 14.6 on Apple Silicon devices, for us Sky Go launched without problems until the sole change of installing the 14.6 update

Re: Sky Go macOS app does not open after latest update.
This issue is also present on MacBook air with Monterey 12.7.6. I have emailed Sky but this needs sorting.

You've reverted to Sanoma 14.5 and it's still not working?

Sky go does not work on Mac after Sonoma 14.6 update yesterday 30/7
Sky go does not work on Mac after Sonoma 14.6 update yesterday 30/7/2024
App bounces on the dock bar and does not open - then a large error report pops up stating "Sky Go quit unexpectedly." Apple have check my Mac remotely and believe its a Sky go app issue.
Have tried to re install several time no success

Re: Sky Go macOS app does not open after latest update.
Hi, so is this a Sky issue or more of an Apple issue?
