i even tryed doing my Laptop to box condition. wiped everything off my Laptop and started again SKY GO app still coming up with (0xc00000045) what a waste of a afternoon .

In the process of doing that, has it re-installed KB5121767?  In which case you may be able to uninstall it now.

Still would not allow me to delete it says Windows needs this

Then your only option left is to do a refresh install that will get you back to level 8875. My procedure for that is on post 75 of this topic

Before you actually run it, check the dates in the files are around July 10th. If later than that, it would mean KB5121767 has now been intergrated to that.

I recieve an error that the application was unable to start correctly and the only option is to click to close the application when I try to open the App on the laptop, works on a tablet.

The App was working until a couple of days ago, I have tried downloading and re installation and I get the same error

I understand how inconvenient this is, especially as you rely on Sky Go when the TV is in use.

We’re aware that, following a recent Microsoft update to Windows 11, some customers are experiencing problems with the Sky Go app on their PCs.

This issue appears to be limited to Windows PCs, and our technical teams are actively investigating it. At present, we don’t have a confirmed timeframe for a fix, but please be assured that resolving this is a priority.

While you wait for an update, you can continue to use Sky Go on your Android devices, as you mentioned.

I just got this update earlier which has now fixed my Sky Go error 0xc0000045 and allows Sky Go to run normally

Otherwise search for the same KB on Microsoft website and it shall find !!

KB5101684 is a preview update that was issued on July 20th as level 8968.  Skygo does not work on this level.  However this update was re-issued last night and is now level 8973 so something's been fixed.  Basically it's a preview of next month's patch Tuesday.

To get it you need to check the box that gets you up to date as soon as possible and run check for updates. 

EDIT: Have updated my 8968 level system to 8973 and Skygo now works, although only after I uninstalled and re-installed it. Initially got the  error.

You can download it from the windows 11 update catalogue, go for the x64 update, you don't need to go through windows update.
