Sky Go. Desktop. Windows 7
Hello
Is there some way to roll back my version of Sky Go app. I have windows 7, which I know is no longer supported. But it auto updates it's version everytime I try to open it and I'm assuming the updated app no longer allows me to connect (error code 001).
Can someone please help me out either in how to roll back or how to get a version that works and doesn't keep trying to update to a version I can't use.
Thank you in advance
OJ

Re: Sky Go. Desktop. Windows 7
Sorry not following. That just takes me to a system requirments page. Nothing about Windows 7. I'm look to find out how to rollback the app to a version that works with win 7 (if that is even possible) and also how to prevent it from auto-updating so I don't have the issue again.

Re: Sky Go. Desktop. Windows 7
Sky only support Windows 10 & 11 for Sky Go so it's not surprising that Windows 7 is having issue
Be aware that changes in the Sky Go backend may stop older versions working even if you do find a way of installing them
Sky Go is flaky on supported systems so unsupported will be even worse 😞

There isn't such an option so can you not update Windows 7 to 10 ?

Re: Sky Go. Desktop. Windows 7
Sky themselves won't have a Windows 7 compatible version available for download, and I'd suggest any installer found online elsewhere be treated with considerable caution (particularly as by definition Win 7, being well over four years out of support from Microsoft, won't now be patched against many known exploits)

Re: Sky Go. Desktop. Windows 7
So we now have to get Windows 10 or 11 to replace a perfectly good and working Windows 7, or we lose SKY GO... modern technology, eh!

I'm in the same predicament. It means backing everythingup AND forking out £100 plus for Windows 11

Windows 7 was released in 2009 and exited support in 2020. No operating system from that era is 'perfectly good' : 'horribly vulnerable' would be a better description.
