Re: Sky Go App error code 001
I should have looked more carefully at the post from @Delly71 which refers to checking for, and deleting, sky go folders and files. I found folders but then looked for and deleted files within the folders with "skygo"or "Sky Go" in the filename, ignoring the remaining files.

Re: Sky Go App error code 001
Did you not try what I posted for you back in September, further up the page ?
There is also something here for a few days that is working for others with this 001 error:

Re: Sky Go App error code 001
I tried that but still couldn't get Sky Go to connect. A far as I can tell the only difference when I did get it working was that I deleted the library Sky Go App Support folder itself rather than just the enclosed files..

Re: Sky Go App error code 001
i had the same issue on windows 10 - error 001 , try again, after new version of sky go installed. Uninsalled/installed clearing out trash bin to no avail. I then came accross an article which said go to:
C:\users\$username\AppData\LocalLow\Cisco\VideoGuard
from there i removed SKY_GB-SKY-QGO folder
I then reinstalled sky go and it then let me put in my sky credentials & fired up & connected to my sky Q box. Been good ever since 🙂
Hope this is of some help

Re: Sky Go App error code 001
Same for me, got the error 001, downloaded Sky Go App first just in case, then uninstalled Sky Go App and went to C:\Users\{you}\AppData\Roaming\ and deleted the complete Sky Go folder and the other Sky Go folder in C:\Users\{you}\AppData\Roaming\Sky\
where {you} is the name of your user folder. Note - make sure the Sky Go App is not still running in Task Manager or it won't let you delete the folders.
I then installed the Sky Go App I had just downloaded and although it finished intalling I just had a black Sky Go window, so I closed the Sky Go App paused 5 seconds and opened the now installed Sky Go App from the desktop shortcut and it worked. I had to login, accept Cookies, etc., but it is now working again. 😀 simples 😀

Re: Sky Go App error code 001
Hi, this worked for me perfectly, the trick is not to go to folders but to do as you have said and press option which enabled me to find the hidden folder with all the sky app files. I am now a happy bunny thank you soooooo much

Hi all, thanks to everyone who shared their method of getting Sky Go back on their Mac. User name The Malcoms suggestion worked perfectly for me.

Re: Sky Go App error code 001
You say to go to Go, which I have done. There is nowhere to enter things like /Library/Group Containers so I clicked on server and entered each of them there. If the~ is used it says there is no such server. If it is not used all you get is a blank list?
What am I supposed to do with Go? Don't understand. It's driving me mad and taking up a lot of time.
Thanks for specific info on what to do in the Go drop down list.
Tony

I don't have a roaming or a roaming/sky directory? Any other suggestions?

Re: Sky Go App error code 001
If you are using a Mac then try this:
1, From your desktop, select Go from the top toolbar
2, Press and hold the Option key on your keyboard **This is really important - it allows you to access folders on your Mac's Hard Drive rather than your user folder**
3, Select Library
4, Open the Application Support folder
5, Find the Sky Go folder
6, Move everything IN the Sky Go folder to your trash. **Don't take the enclosing folder, just its contents** - anecdotally, incase it helps somone identify the contents, the first folder/file in this folder for me is called "blob_storage" and the last is "WebStorage"
7, No need to empty your trash bin, just restart your Mac
When you next open Sky Go you should be given the option to select cookies and then log in.

Re: Sky Go App error code 001
Thank you so much. It was the use of option which was vital.
