I too have downloaded the beta version 26.2.0, and it's still the same even after a reinstall.

Personally I don't think that it's an issue with the App because it stopped working simultaneously on Sky Go and the Sky+ App and neither app had been updated recently. Therefore it's probably a change that Sky have made on their infrastructure.

You would think that a company the size of Sky would be able to fix this issue, but after nearly a month I'm coming to the regretful conclusion that it will never be resolved.😡

I agree, both apps stopped sending record requests at the same time and displaying the error we've all been receiving.

What's the point? Seems no one is interested! I've deleted it, it's pointless now!

Interesting that the so called defunct or not supported Sky+ app will set remote recordings if I'm in my house, however the new supported app Sky Go still shows the same error message even when I'm in my home.

I have had the same experience as others.  I used the Sky+ app, but it lost the ability to record. Programmes I scheduled to record failed to do so.  I switched to Sky Go, but the same problem persists.  It doesn't appear that either app is at fault.  The problem should be at the Sky end.  I use the remote record facility a lot and this is very annoying.  I went through all of the recommendations to resolve the issue, but that was a waste of time.  As a Sky user for about 30 years, I appeal to you to escalate and resolve this without delay.  You are definitely aware of the problem!

Hi,

You say that your Sky Go team is "actively working " on this issue.  I doesn't 30 years in the IT business, so I reckon your technical guys must know how long it will take to fix.  I assume minutes!  Can you please give me a resolution timescale?  Your previous answer was merely a holding tactic.  I would like my query left open.

They just don't care about older android devices etc, although I can now use it on my new ipad, but it's not convenient to carry around like a phone, and I'm certainly not going to get a new phone!

Good point Astroman, 27 days after my original post and over 100 posts later it's still not fixed.  Do you get the impression that the Sky Go App support team are "working from home"?

Perhaps, but bone may be very far away!  Fixing and testing should not be onerous.  Willingness to fix it seems to be lacking though.
