Recordings stop playing in sky go

When I play back recordings in sky go, ( on iPad) after a couple of minutes it stops playback saying not connected to sky q box. I have deleted the app and started again. 
But has made no difference. 
any help gratefully received.

Have you tried rebooting you Sky Q box?

Switched box off, rebooted everything.

can watch live Tv (not bbc1 or 2) 

 

anything recorded just doesn't work for longer than a few minutes.
