Any chance you could fix the blue overlay issue...? Especially on a Chromebox it's impossible to remedy this

If I'm understanding you right, the blue overlay is normally rectified by zooming out on the touchpad.

That is correct... on a Chromebook. On a Chromebox it doesn't fix it (I have both)
Even with a track-pad.
I've tried so many different ways! If anyone has a solution I'm please let me know.
FYI, there was a release of Sky Go not long ago which loaded up with an advert for something Sky related that you had to close and that did not have the blue issue for a while. Every time it returned I reinstalled it and it worked, but unfortunately that version no longer loads. ,(I'm thinking it was something to do with the object that is highlighted).
So my only current solution is to roll back my ChromeOS and install that specific version. Which I've given up doing.

Was working then one day stopped for no apparent reason.
Things I have tried to do to correct this problem:-
1. Uninstalled App and reinstalled from Play Store.
2. Deleted all redundant devices leaving two in use.
3. Closed association with the Q box.
4. Initially cleared the Data & Cache before reinstalling the App.
All to no avail...
Other two devices working fine. A Windows 10 laptop & Motorola G9 Plus mobile phone.
I don't believe the old limitation of just two devices for Sky Go is still in use?
Please help...!!
Thanks...

This is the same issue I have with my Asus Chromebook, get a popup requesting my PIN - we get about 3 seconds before it closes and replaced by a codec 14 error. I too removed the Q association as I have Sky+ HD rather than Q/Glass. There goes the masters on the chromebook and back to the mobile 😞

I am still frustrated by this as well. I have ununstalled and reinstalled the app numerous times, cleared the cache and signed up for beta, although my Asus chromebook doesn't load the beta version. I contacted Sky via the app to be told a) they know there is a problem, b) the beta version doesn't make any difference despite many users saying it does and c) they are working on a fix. This contradicts other reports that they have a fix and that it will come out in April. I have concluded that they have no idea how to sort this out. It is beyond frustrating.

Is anyone else finding that with on demand content, the ads are crystal clear but the content is blocky? It's like tone mapping isn't working properly, dark areas will flick between dark and light and the MPEG noise is really high, then the ads start and it's all fine again.
When I was with NowTV, I tried sideloading the Android app onto the Chromebook Duet and had the same issue. When they updated the app it completely stopped working. NowTV is categorically not supported on Chromebooks though.
My current status with Sky Go is that I can stream recorded content from the Q box fine in good quality. I can stream on demand content with the blocky issues described above but live TV crashes with error 14.
I'm not using a VPN (which is also apparently an issue that might help some of you), I'm in my home in the next room from the sky Q box. It really should just work now. It was all working properly in February.

Beta version seems to have fixed it for me 👍

Just received April update. Got further and looked as though programme would play and then stopped with message: 'The codec reported error code 14'. Cleared the cache and tried again - still same. Still no beta version either.

Sky sell their very expensive service as being all inclusive - watch Sky on your devices thereby taking full advantage of what they offer. This is an absolute joke - over two months now and still cannot watch live tv on my HP Chromebook. Chrome OS and Skygo app up to date plus am on Beta tester and still get code 14. All you get from Sky is they are working on it! How about they work a little faster and provide some sort of monetary compensation for lack of advertised service.

Pretty Fed up with SKY and Chromebook now

Mine is still working fine since the beta update. However google wants to install a new update on the chromebook and I keep putting it off, as I'm worried Sky Go will stop working again🙄

Just bought a chrome book and happy with the device, just not very impressed with Sky Go app non-solution to chrome book problem. Clearly they aren't interested as it just keeps crashing despite constant complaints about the failures.

Just bought a Chrome book so I can work home home if sick and to watch sky go .... not got it to work apart from the first night I got it. Constantly crashes and closes as soon as I go to watch TV or any recordings. SKY please sort this out as my tablet is broken so this is my only way of watching Sky go
