Hi Dan,

 

I'm glad your fix worked for many on this thread, but I'm afraid it didn't work for me - either on my iMac or MacBook. It's particularly strange as this was a new install on the iMac, so cannot be due to caching or legacy file issues..

Does not wok for everybody me included.

I have just reopened a complaint made last june (2024) 

The only solution being offered by SKY technical team is to uninstall and reinstall which does not work , I have been assused that my complaint will be escaclted to the technical team theis was by Britney at Manchester Sky Work ID BHG04 

When I pointed out that there are hundreds of entries on the community board she stated they only moderate the board. 

 

I am hoping that this post will be picked up by the moderators who will take the issue forward seriously to the APP developers who will re write the app for MAC/Macbooks so it [removed] well works

I have had the problem of Sky Go opening, showing the cookie prompt, and then the log in box for a few seconds before crashing, followed a few seconds later by the crash report.

 

I finally worked out from the report that it was some extra coremedia plugins that had been installed by my DLR camera and other broadcast software.  At a complete guess i'd say these are a conflict with the DRM side of sky go.....

 

Have a look at Macintosh HD>Library>CoreMediaIO>Plug-Ins >DAL

 

If you see anything in there I would suggest moving the files out and trying to reopen Sky Go.  Obviously those plugins might be needed for other purposes, but on my system they were not needed and have allowed Sky Go to work.
