My sky go works for non sky channels but doesn't work for sky channels when I'm on 4g.
For example I can access BT sport but not sky sports and I can access ITV but not sky one

And what about customers whose phones no longer have that legacy functionality?
iv now been awaiting a response from the app team for over 2 weeks

My Sky go app doesn't work whilst trying to watch sky sports on 4G.
it'll work for other channels such as ITV but I just get a black screen and a spinning wheel for sky sports then it goes off.
I've uninstalled the app and downloaded it again, made sure my location services it on etc etc but nothings working.

Switching to 3G probably isn't an option for anyone who has a phone that's not 2+ years old.
Plus 3G will struggle with streaming HD channels.

Hi is there any solution to this?? Can't stream sports over 4G/5G without getting error messages but can stream channels like bbc etc. Driving me insane. Works over wifi but the whole point in having sky go is so that I can watch when I'm not home. My phone is not able to change from 4G to 3G so need another solution

I presume you mean you can't stream the BBC channels, if so that is correct as you can only do this when you are home and connected to the same Wifi network that your Sky Q box is on this is because the BBC will not allow their channels to be directly watched via the Sky Go app so can only be streamed via your Sky Q box.
