Sky Glass Software Update

I have spent nearly 2 hrs including with an online rep to get the latest software to up date I am now being told to leave for an hour for the update to be forced through !!! Has anyone experienced the same issue in the last week

@Bomber89b  Are you trying to setup Sky Glass or has it already been setup?  If the latter you can't force software updates.

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

Have had the tv for several years so not a new set up this is as a result of a further update from the one ladt week

@Bomber89b  I have gen 1 and the current version of sky os is 1.3 and the build version is Q5040.004.00p

@Bomber89b  How long have you had the gen 1 for mine is 5 years old and had it 2 years this year since I took sky glass 2 years ago

I've had my sky glass nearly 4 years. 2 months before paid off, all of a sudden this morning tv saying software error. Tried all online advice, spoke to customer services who talked me through steps to fix and no luck. 

anyone ever got over this issue without replacing tv?? 

customer service said I should see an amber light appear during reset but only flashing red light 

 

Any advise please 🙏🏻
