Prime Video App

Firstly the prime app on the pucks is different to glass. No amount of refreshing has made any changes in months.  The prime content on glass does not update in the playlist or continue watching plus on Glass there are lipsync issues.

However using the Puck the rail updates no issues with continue watching and this update does then refresh the continue watching on Glass.

As a side the prime app profile logins are also different between glass and the pucks one square the other round so different apps between glass and Puck.

Other users experiencing the same?

Re: Prime Video App

I have responded in chat but here are the differences with the prime app.

IMG_4970.jpeg

This is Glass, this version of Prime does not update in the playlist or Continue watching.

This is the app on the Puck 'different' but this app works keeping track of viewed items on the Puck and continue watching.

To add if I update my viewing via a puck it does refresh glass so they sync but if watching via Glass no updating of views, no refresh and syncing across glass or pucks.

So something is not right and this has been the case for several weeks no amount of app refreshing changes things.

Over to you Sky!

Re: Prime Video App

Response is puck apps and glass apps function differently and nothing to see here 🤔. Prime doesn't update the CW rail on Glass and that is no issue it is as designed. Hmmmm.

Well that's just nonsense isn't it? Glass and Stream are both running SkyOS so quite why they run different versions of the Prime Video app is very strange indeed. Perhaps the newer UI on Glass hasn't been optimised for SkyOS yet, and isn't yet tracking the metadata required for updating the CW rail?

BTW - I love that your Prime profile is Shady Pines!

Re: Prime Video App

I am aware that different app variants run on Glass and pucks but Integrated functionality between the apps and Sky should be standard, surely? The feedback was it works on the Puck but not glass so no issue. Oh right 🙄.

My suggestion that perhaps liaising between departments to get to the bottom of the problem was met with there is no problem.

You raise issues to better the system for all users and get the response nothing to see here. Well done Sky 👍🏻

Re: Prime Video App

So this is a weird one, after weeks of the app not updating and further to my post today tonight it worked 😳 CW rail for the first time in weeks updated the prime content.

Big brother or coincidence 😂
