Playlist discussions

Lets Talk Playlists! do you use it?

Some people might think I'm a bit crazy, but I live by myself so I don't need playlists for specific people in the household, instead i created 3 playlists

Red Icon - Not Renewed

Green Icon - Waiting for new Season

Yellow Icon - waiting to find out if it's been renewed/cancelled (then move it to the appropriate playlist)

Then everything in the default playlist is things I want to watch, then once I've finished a show I will stick the program in the appropriate playlist. for me this is the best way to organise the TV series that I watch. it can get very overwhelming when everything is mixed up and this just makes it a little bit more easier to know what you still have to watch etc!

So tell me am I just extremely sad or actually a complete genius 😂

Hi @MartinV I also have a system which works perfectly for our household.

My playlists are as follows:

1. Default playlist which contains all programmes except for those in playlist 5

2. Programmes we watch together

3. Programmes only I want to watch

4. Programmes only my Wife wants to watch

5. Programmes either of us want to watch again and are waiting for a new series to commence..

Just before a new series starts I move it to playlist 1 and again to the appropriate playlist

Re: Playlist discussions

Yes for me the default playlist is only stuff I actually want to watch. If if I finished something or waiting for a new series, it can then disappear to its respected playlist until the time is right.

I never really used to use playlists but starting to use it more!

I have a playlist for each member of the family ....... there are many duplicates over the playlists (and I wish it would track them separately)

it would be great if we could increase the number of playlists possible as every Xmas it would be great if I could add another for Xmas movies

Re: Playlist discussions

Mine are:

General covering family viewing current and new

personal 1

personal 2

pending - finished series awaiting return

what I would like to see is a continue watching rail matching each playlist in the various playlist sections

and

on the Home Screen for the main continue watching rail I'd like to see the icon displayed relevant to the playlist so it's easy to identify for each family member.

all very much possible I'd imagine but can't see it happening 🤔

Re: Playlist discussions

my only wish for playlists would be

1) The ability to be notified when a new season has dropped of one of your programs (new episodes don't always come up in the continue watching section)

2) it would be so useful for programs to specifically say whether they have been renewed/cancelled. something similar to Netflix would be awesome where on the program info page it says "It's Official - Another season is coming"

3) In a playlist, have more ways for organisation and more Rows. A Row for Netflix, Disney+, Sky channels etc (but I appreciate this could get confusing, especially if programs are on multiple platforms)
