Not being an apple tv user so I'm not sure but can you change the resolution settings or even turn the hdmi handshake off and on ?

These are the advised settings for Apple TV for HDMI Connection the Format is set to 4K SDR being the lowest 4K content Apple then detects the signal and auto updates to say HDR or 10 or Dolby Atmos etc. In the case of a HD signal like iplayer for example it then auto up scales the content so it often looks UHD and in most cases even looks better than iplayer streamed UHD it is very clever in processing the content to the highest picture quality.

Match content is off so Apple isn't forced to override frame rates.

And check hdmi allows you to run an hdmi check to ensure the connection is made and the cable is not faulty

I have since we have been chatting moved the Apple TV to hdmi 2 and run a test as you can see it provides info that the connection has improved. I believe the TV has a faulty hdmi 1 socket.

Sky Glass QS038.025.00P handshake HDMI problems

I'm still using a Firestick TV 4K Max 2025 second edition. Since Sky updated to the version I mentioned in the title, the handshake hasn't worked! I'm forced to disable fast standby to get it to work because it shuts everything down, and booting is extremely slow (up to 90 seconds at least). Has anyone else encountered the same problem? The Firestick has absolutely no issues when used with three other TVs.

I hope Sky will address this rather serious issue.

Thanks for your attention.
