Glass hangs when choosing new pin

Tv didn't work, followed the advice on sky to pull plug press stand by for 20 secs meanwhile plug back in when pressing button , then go through connection setup , then pin didn't work so when to assign a new one and after filling out the new pin twice it just hung there yet I could delete code so wasn't stuck

Hi, I have the exact same issue this evening, I don't know if I'm allowed to ask this on here but have you solved this issue? If so, could you possibly advise me on what to do? I can't currently get in touch with anyone from Sky

Hi All, in the end I just perceive red and after about 4 times of unplugging and plugging in it seemed to work.  Actually thinking about it I think when you put your new code in and it hangs I think it recognised the change and you use that for next time you repeat the process

Same for me. Spent two hours talking to Sky agents last night, and have tried the recovery process 14 times. Still the same. Glass has been rubbish since I got it - big step backwards from Q

The following occasionally works on a pin error 

when you get to the pin entry screen pull the plug for a minute 

plug back in and go through the setup process again and the tv may skip the pin entry screen

Thanks for the suggestion, I've tried 19 times now. Something clearly wrong with the Glass, which is being replaced this morning. Who knows if this one will be any better...

After spending a week speaking to sky customer support, we have finally been told the fix for this! Set the pin on the tv and it actually remembers without pressing next. Turn the tv off and then put in the pin you put in and it works!! Thanks to Stephanie in the support team!!

My issue started with the dreaded black screen but with audio, I have carried out the typical reset processes, which worked for minutes, I have now carried out a reset with the unplugging while.holding the tv.power button, I have managed to get to the 'enter your PIN' which oddly seems the Pin was incorrect l, I have now entered a new PIN and confirmed it but the screen does nothing, I have carried out a hard reset again and I still have the 'choose yout new PIN onscreen and its currently doing nothing, Help!

I have the same problem, I'm going round and round in a loop and getting nowhere!

After trying the same thing 5 times (turning it off and on again) it moved on to the next step and is now working.

3 points -

It actually tells you the original password is incorrect when it isn't.

It remembers the password if it gets stuck and you turn it off and back on again after inputting a new password.

Lastly, something we all know, Sky Glass is pants.
