opening the remote

I find it impossible to open the remote control to get at the batteries. I know what it says but it just won't slide. Any ideas?

Hi @OldSimon

It can be very stiff the first few times you open it. Users have had joy putting the remote face down on a cushion or even waring washing up gloves!

The diagram here shows how it should be opened: https://www.sky.com/help/articles/remote-control-help-sky-glass#:~:text=Only%20use%20AAA%20alkaline%...
