Tv hasn’t been set up and packaging not been taken

Hi, i habe just had my sky glass delived from you, and i was told i would have it set up and the packaging taken away, which has not happend, i have been left to do it on my own, can something please be done about this?

Did you not ask the delivery firm (Panther) to put the tv on its stand etc at the time?

I'd imagine one possible reason is that Glass delivery and assembly really requires two people: if the driver was lone-working then that's potentially unsafe and contrary to both their own and Sky procedures.

 

You've a legitimate complaint to raise with Sky who should then arrange re-attendance by delivery personnel.

No he hasn't it's exclusive to you.Amazed it's been marked as delivered,check your my sky app see if it has been officially delivered

He wasn't alone, there was 2 delivery men, it was rushed and unprofessional

i have contacted sky and they said it's an ongoing issue with there delivery company 

I have been told they will come back to pick up the packaging as I have set the tv up on my own

Have Sky offered any compensation for inconvenience ... like a month subscription credit🤔

I would advise lodging a formal complaint with Sky. They are not fulfilling the service stated on their website:

 

  • Unbox and tidy: We’ll take your TV into the room of your choice, unbox it, assemble the TV stand and take away the packaging to be recycled.

They cannot expect customers to be able to lift and safely assemble a thing the size and weight of Sky Glass. If they state that the delivery people will do this then it should be done (if requested.)

Shouldn't it include power on ... to confirm the TV functions?
