@JoeCol  I imagine that was pretty frustrating but did the usual method of flipping to another channel and back again not correct the lip sync for you? Although I have not had any more lip sync problems for a few weeks it always worked for me in the past.

Re: Speech out of sync on Sky glass

Has anyone had the Qs35 update yet? If so any improvement?

Re: Speech out of sync on Sky glass

I don't think this thread should have been marked as answered.  It's not more answered than 2 or 3 months ago.

"answering" give a false impression that it's fixed.

@AndyCairns

That post is subject to change and will no doubt be edited when there is a significant update. Marking as the answer is a way of customers who are perhaps joining the thread for the first time immediately seeing the latest information.

Firstly, the lip sync issue is a known issue and there's a software update rolling out which should improve or maybe even fix it. It's rolling out throughout March and most don't have it yet.

Regarding cancelling, if you're on a monthly contract then yep. If you're on a fixed term contract then probably not but you could contact Sky to make the argument and they may let you out.

You can see if you can cancel at https://www.sky.com/mysky/tv/tv-packs. Otherwise you can contact Sky to arrange a cancellation https://www.sky.com/help/articles/cancel-sky-tv

But as a software update is due imminently I'd advise waiting for that before making any decisions.

I can't believe this having to wait two three weeks for this issue to be fixed.its affecting most programs I watch and is spoiling those programs.I think as it be going up to three weeks we should get compensation.

Your signature after your post suggests you have Sky Q and not Glass?

Re: Speech out of sync on Sky glass

Just frustrating to be paying for a pretty poor service, lip synch is diabolical,  pausing t.v is always a gamble to see if it will just stop working when you fast forward through ads.

Perhaps a fix would appear if enough of us simply stop paying for really poor tech.

Gradually you may fix the issue!

@Mickw2

Definitely not recommended. Doing that is going to cause you additional problems. Your services will be restricted, you won't be able to call Sky, late payment fees will be added and eventually Sky will involve a debt recovery company which may affect your credit rating.

Re: Speech out of sync on Sky glass

I recently got a Gen 2 and though it hasn't had the latest update yet I've not had this issue once with the live sport since receiving it. It was a regular occurrence on the Gen 1.

I totally agree it should have been fixed sooner and Sky really should be compensating Glass and Stream customers in some way like a free Sky Store purchase for example.

Re: Speech out of sync on Sky glass

Yet they can charge full price for half a service with no comeback.

This happens every time I watch the news and alot on discovery. Sky should be halving the price they charge until the issue is resolved it's like living back in the 70's. Just lacklusture service and frustrating that an organisation as big as sky seem happy to take payment but not so happy to address issues, contracts are a two way street, sky don't seem to be living up to their end of it. I"m paying to keep changing channels to re align lip synch far too much.
