@no1liverpoolfan I suspect you have been unlucky and have received a faulty Glass TV.  I have one and for a TV has a great sound with no speaker vibration at all.  I have seen other post where people have had a similar complaint to yours and the general advice was to contact Sky and request a replacement.

Good luck 🤞🎅🏻

Re: Sound problem

I received mine on Tuesday and have exactly the same issue as you - sounds terrible and bass vibration.

Called Sky yesterday and did a video call with them. They agreed it appears to be broken and is now due to be replaced next Tue (27th).

🤞🏼the replacement don't have the same issue.

Re: Sound problem

I've had 3 now and all have the same issue.
Once you hear the vibration / crackling bass it's very hard to un-hear it.
The only way to test whether this is an issue generally with the tv is to go down to a Sky Store and ask them to demo a tv with a movie that you have experienced the sound with. That's what I'm intending to do when shops reopen. I'm literally on the verge of sending the tv back and going back to Q

Re: Sound problem

Oh no that's not great.

If I get another broken one then I will just return it as I'm still in my 30 day cooling off period and will get another stream box instead.

I'm happy with the improvements that Sky have made with Stream over Q.

Re: Sound problem

Just an FYI for every replacement tv they give you you get another 30 day cooling off period -

@Karan_Solanki replacements are usually refurbished Glass TVs as well ☹️

Unfortunately that tells you nothing about the bass speaker in the set which will be delivered to your address: they are fairly unlikely to have a dodgy one on display...

It's not a 'general issue' but undoubtedly occurs in a percentage of shipped hardware, apparently due to insufficient quality control during manufacturing.

Re: Sound problem

I Have had a sound issue with sky glass tv where the sound bar buzzed at low frequencies, any bass sound was pretty bad. It wasnt like it when i got it and I had not over ran the speakers, couldnt contact sky becUse the glass tv was given to me.

today after looking at a schematic of the tv I removed the 20 odd screws

on the bottom of the tv and removed the bottom plate, when i inspected the sub woofer there was a piece of nylon sticky tape used presumeably to hold a cable away from the speaker face, it had attached itself to the speaker and was the cause of all the buzzing and rattling
