So I got my Sky Glass TV on a four year payment plan. My entertainment package was a two year subscription. Now my entertainment package has expired I tried to cancel it, given I watch terrestrial television and use third party streaming apps only. Contradictory to what I was told when purchasing the Sky TV, I was informed that without the entertainment package I would have no access to live television. Effectively Sky charge their basic package just to watch free to view television. The television therefore would no longer be fit for purpose and would not provide the basic service of a TV unless I continue to pay a substantial Sky subscription for the next two years. Miss sold and poor service, DO NOT buy a sky glass! No matter how they sell it!

Find out more@OneBenjamin I'm not sure what you expected when you bought a TV with Sky built in, it needs a active subscription to view any channels on the TV guide, however, without a subscription you can still use the apps and HDMI inputs to use a freview or freesat box.

Sky Glass TVs have a DTT tuner for FTA channels ... in addition many DTT FTA channels can be accessed via the FTA broadcasters apps😉
Sky build an inconvenience aspect into Sky Glass TVs ... to use the DTT tuner you have disconnect the TV from the internet😟

With a continuing Sky account (but not a monthly subscription) the Digital Terrestrial Television tuner should be available, although broadband has to be disabled for this to function.

There's also access to iPlayer and ITVX (obviously with broadband enabled)
There should never have been any implication that free-to-air service was available through a streaming EPG on a Glass television: that requires Freeview Play or the new Freely app, neither of which is ever likely to be on Sky hardware.

In all honesty I expected a reliable television that would compete on the market. That following purchase would give me the freedom to chose wether or not I would pay additionally fees for additional services. Neither of these have been provided, given relentless issues with the television now even in the final days to be told that there is no use to the TV really takes the biscuit.

Glass is bespoke hardware designed for consumption of Sky subscription services. As the current prices indicate, it's really not intended to 'compete' at all.
That the page I linked to above describes Glass without a subscription as 'a normal TV' is something we've been challenging since launch in October '21.

You cam plug a digital tv aerial in and trun off the Internet to watch terrestrial tv that is what it's there for if you lose the Internet, or if you have by chance an old satellite dish on your wall then get a freesat box and you can record on that to and it still has plus 1 channels to
