Ok set up the camera it worked fine for a few weeks.
Now all all have is a a solid red light and a message on screen saying "please check your cable is properly plugged in. Then try opening this app again"
ive tryes unplugging and plugging back in. I've tryed all threee ports.
No change. Anyone had this and know how to resolve please.

I've noticed quite a few individual threads regarding this permenant red light issue on Sky Live and I wanted to bring it all together so that some advice that we've seen can be shared. As indicated in a few messages above, your Sky camera has a small reset button found at the bottom. You will need to press this to start a restart.
After this done can you please monitor your device for a couple days and if the red light issue returns, please come back and share 🙂

Hi ChuckPerry,
I had the camera for a short while but it wasn't for me so I returned it.
the light only comes on when it's active and when it can be used, you have to calibrate it to recognise you and it has to be angled so it picks you up in the room.

Yes tried several times. Left it all unplugged all night last night.
Pluged it in again today. Still the same problem.
Red light comes on and stays on.
Every app I try to open gives me the same message about the cable not being plugged in.

Hi,
My Sky live camera is not working. It has a permanent red light on the front, and it appears to be disconnected.
I have left my Sky unplugged overnight and it is still the same today.
When I try any of the apps, I get the same message.
"Please check your cable is properly plugged in. Then try opening this app again."

Sounds like it's faulty and you will need to contact Sky for a replacement (we are all customers here). I guess the only thing to check is that both HDMI and USB C cables are firmly seated in the ports on the back of the TV, but if it was working and then just stopped, I'd say it's a fault.

Hi. We installed our Sky Live a few months ago and, after playing around a little bit with it, haven't really used it since. I have just gone to use it and realised it isn't working and there is a permanent red light on it

Try powering the TV off at the wall, remove the cable out of the camera end and then power the TV back on. Wait a minute or so and then plug the cable back into the camera.
The camera should flash white and you should get a camera starting up message then then light should go out. Try accessing a sky live app.

I just wanted to update this post in case anyone else out there has had the same problem.
I spoke to Sky on the phone today and it turns out there is a small reset button on the bottom of Sky Live camera. You need to use a paper clip or pin to push the button. With the TV powered on, you need to push and hold the button for 30 seconds and release. The red light will flash for a bit and then the Sky Live should update and restart (ours did anyway).

New customer, TV set up and working fine.
Sky live camera solid red light after connecting to tv, tried everything suggested.
sky tv working fine but nothing from the camera.
Cannot see any installation or activation setting other than plug and play.
got the feeling i was given a faulty camera, delivered with the tv and then before delivery team left they asked for the box before taking into the van and coming back out..
i plugged into the tv but nothing but solid red light.
