I was told I need a new remote when my sky glass contract ended is this correct

If you cancel your sky subscription but keep your account you will be sent a modified remote where there are app buttons - this can take some time to arrive

Hi @jimmy773  I see you have been supplied a photo by @Jporch316 so I won't include another one.  I just wanted to make you aware that the remote delivery times is roughly 8 weeks (31 days’ cancellation notice period + 4 weeks after cancellation date). If you have not received the remote after that time frame you will need to contact Sky to chase it up.

I cancelled a Glass contract about 2 years ago but never received the alternative remote.  I didn't chase it up as I had already sold the Glass TV so would have had no need of it.

Hi @lettice  You can certainly get a normal Glass/stream remote from Amazon as I have purchased one myself but I have never seen the alternative remote with the App buttons replacing the voice control and add to playlist buttons.  I tried looking before and couldn't find  one.
