Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@Jude+Jude UHD is definitely working as the picture would not fill the.screen if it didn't. If you pay for the UHD./Dolby Atmos sub go and select Game of Thrones in UHD and when playing press the ... button which should show the sound is playing in Dolby Atmos.

Assuming you have the UDH & Atmos pack (check My Sky); find say episode 1 of The Last Of Us (which is in - before pressing play, right click to All Formats and select 'Ultra High definition with HDR'. Before pressing the play button, you should see the UHD & HDR boxes next to the 1h 17m and rated 15 boxes.
Then play the episode.
Press the ... button next to play/pause. Above the settings boxes that pop up should be the Dolby Atmos badge on the right hand side of the screen.
If this isn't visible, check that you're setup for UHD. Go all the way to the bottom of the home screen and click Settings > Picture & Sound > Default Streaming Format. Be sure either Auto or UHD are selected. if HD is selected, you'll just be getting regular old HD.

Sorry to jump in but have you noticed that when in uhd/hdr there is no advertising but if you play the same show in hd advertising is there and it asks if you want add skipping

Interesting; I've not tried playing any Sky TV (not Sky Movies) content in HD where a UHD/HDR version is available. We don't pay for ad skipping, but hadn't thought that we haven't seen any adverts at all whilst playing The Last Of Us or our rewatch of Game Of Thrones in UHD/HDR via our Glass or Puck devices.
If this is an oversight, I'm hoping it will remain overseen 👍
