Sky glass is the worse thing ever

I have had sky glass since April 2024 and I have had nothing but problems, freezing, buffering, lip sync problems, the list goes on. First sky told me that it was my broadband mbps, probably because I don't have sky broadband. Not so, my mbps is ample for sky glass. Next they take me through all the updates and settings, fine for a week and now it has started all over again. I wish had never bothered. Has anyone else had any of these problems?

I don't see any of those issues and don't have Sky broadband either. Speed (Mbps) is not the only requirement in terms of broadband. Stability and freedom from interference are also important. Are you connecting over wifi? An ethernet connection may work better (after turning off wifi on the Glass) .

Similar posts have been made since November 2021: that's inherent the nature of a support forum.  The vast majority of Glass users aren't posting here, though

Thank you for your reply.  I am connected by ethernet cable.  Went through a load of updates etc with a very helpful guy in customer service and worked for a week and is now playing up again.

Have you performed a speed test from the Glass to see what download speed it is getting?

To do that open Netflix on the glass go to Get Help and then Check Your Network.

Re: Sky glass is the worse thing ever

Thank you Mark.  No I haven't don't that.  I will give it a go when I get home.  Currently away getting some restbite as I care for my mum who has dementia.  I had a phone call from my sister who is looking after mum as the TV had frozen and it wouldn't turn of or do anything.  I had to advise her to unplug the TV,  3 times it had to be unplugged before she could actually get it working.

Re: Sky glass is the worse thing ever

We have had glass for two years and have had very issues at all certainly nothing significant. Nothing that a switch on/off won't fix.

I have  had my sky glass tv  since  November  2021 no problems with it  at all, but I do have it connected  to the Internet  by  the  ethernet  cable  and I am on full fibre to the property  gigafast  900mps  and I have had no problems  with  the puck as well, freezing  is normally  a wifi issue as the more things you  have  connected  to the Internet  the weaker  the signal  to each one is
