Sky TV technical fault

My broadband is on and working but it states a technical issue for sky TV and they are working on fixing the issue, it's not been working for 3 days. I thought may be a bad connection.

Have moved/combined some posts of this technical fault on Sky Glass  and Sky Stream that occurred last night.

Did see a small blip for a few minutes last night on my Sky Stream around 9:30pm

A quick Puck settings restart sorted the issue for me.

Assuming it was just a small blip last night that affected some customers and all of you in this thread are now all running fine this mornin

If any of you are still seeing the issue this morning, please start a new post with your issue, as it may not be related to last night problem.

Will make this the answered post for reference.

Sky Glass Issues

Anyone experiencing issues, I have Sky Glass Gen2, issues with speaking to the remote and any voice commands, they work for a few minutes and then everything starts to lag, slow between menus and blue screen with please wait.

Have put TV on standby and rebooted multiple times, switched off router and reset. Internet speeds look fine at 140mbps.

Also reset control with the commands 1-3 and 7-9, commands very much on and off but everything is so slow.

any ideas please, tried calling Sky and it just says busy and they hang up.

Re: Sky Glass Issues

Now having issues watching anything, one minute it works then drops in and out with a black screen saying programme is loading or technical fault.

Rang Sky I got told to ring another number who directed me back to the number I rang previously. Had enough now.

Stuck on loading … then says technical fault.

Suddenly tonight - tried to switch channel and got stuck on loading message. Then said technical fault. Tried switching off at socket and leaving for a minute or so and switching back on. That resets it but happens again the minuté I try to select a channel. I can successfully get to and watch Netflix. Broadband (not Sky) fine.  Any ideas?

You only have 140mps and the more devices that you have connected the  weaker  the signal is  to each device, 140mps is what you get to the router  not what you get  to each device, sky glass tv to watch  hd channels you need a minimum  of 25mps and to watch  uhd channels you need  a minimum of 35mps  that is what sky recommend  for each sky glass tv  and puck, if you have mobile phones, laptop games consoles or anything  like that  that will eat into the  Internet speed, run a speed  test by opening  Netflix going to help opening that and running check my network and see what speed  each tv and puck are getting

I would  say that  you probably  need a minimum  broadband  of at least  500mps  to sort your  issues  out, i  have 2 55inch sky tvs  a puck, sky live camera,  freesat box,  Xbox,  laptop  personnel  computer, 3 mobile phones a smart meter, 3 alexas

I  am on gigafast broadband 900mps and have no problems with  freezing  tv or anything,  i  would say your  broadband  is  not powerful  enough  for what  you are doing, as I  have  said  the more you have connected  to the Internet  the weaker the wifi  signal  is to each device

Re: Stuck on loading … then says technical fault.

I've restarted the device from the setting menu on the device, I have the channels back for now, see how it's lasts. It's the 2nd time this evening I've had to do it.

Changing channels

Every time I try to change channel I'm met with'technical fault'.   The only way to change is to turn stream box and pick channel from home page

Re: Sky Glass Issues

I have never had these issues before, and I have two glass TVs, a sky puck that my daughter doesn't really use and then just phones connected.

I've tried my Glass Air upstairs with no issues so will monitor the TV downstairs for a few days to see if it was an internet issue
