Sky Glass Intermittent picture issues

Every so often (at least once a month) we get a large area of screen faulty, wide enough that it's a bout 6 " width but from top to bottom of screen. Only way to remove is to unplug (not standby). The frequency of this happening is increasing in both when the issue arises and the number of these wide areas. We are now getting 2

  • I have photographs from a few occasions over the times it happened. But i am not happy that such an expensive TV has this issue. I purchased Feb 2024

@salvan As it's 16 months old I would be inclined to ring Sky and ask for a replacement whilst it's still covered under its warranty. You only have eight more months before it isn't covered.

This has been a regularly reported glitch in the Sky Glass software since the gen1 model launched back in 2021.

It seems that the only cure is to do a regular reboot of the TV - keep it turned off at the wall for a while - then power it back on.

As you've discovered this usually clears the issue, albeit temporarily for some people.

If you are unhappy then it would be worth contacting Sky and logging this issue. Your TV is still under warranty so they may offer to replace it (sometimes with a refurbished model) if they cannot offer a suitable solution.
