Sky Glass Gen 2 picture quality
I'm have just purchased a 55" Sky Glass Gen 2 TV.
I am disappointed with the picture quality, it's just not sharp and vibrant. No better than my old HD TV.
Can anyone advise?

Re: Sky Glass Gen 2 picture quality
@CliveHunt Press the button on the remote with 3 white dots, then scroll across to 'Viewing mode' and choose either vivid or extra vivid. That's the best the thing will do I'm afraid - they're just not that good at being a TV!
Sky Glass 65” [Gen 2]
Sky Glass 43” [Gen 1]
Sky Glass Air 43” connected to Sky Soundbox
Sky Stream Puck x4
Sky Ultimate TV, Sky Sports, TNT Sports, Sky Movies, Kids, Whole Home, UHD&Atmos, Ad Skipping
Sky FTTP

Turn off auto background adjust but leave on local dimming. I've found leaving it on auto picture it finds the right adjustment for what your viewing. If anything on vivid it is too bright and over coloured.

Re: Sky Glass Gen 2 picture quality
I completely disagree, the picture quality on mine is excellent, strong stable wi-fi signal is a must and a proper set up.

Here's a suggestion... if you are within the 31 day free return window, return it.
Go look at an OLED TV in a store (Richer Sounds if close by) but any store will do and see if the picture quality hits the mark for you.
Panasonic on their own UK website are selling 55" OLED TVs with Freely for £699.99 and you can also get a soundbar with wireless subwoofer for £79.99. total £779.98
This is cheaper than the 55" Glass but there is no 0% credit agreement and you will have to use either Stream, Q or even Now TV for your Sky channels.
Glass sound maybe better, but I bet the picture quality will be superior on the OLED.
Best of TV viewing whatever you do
ps... I think 1 of the big attractions of Glass is the finance agreement over 24 or 48 months, however, I don't think Sky have ever reduced the price of Glass (stand to be corrected). The beauty of Glass for Sky/Comcast is that customers are somewhat tied into their viewing ecosystem so buying viewing subscriptions.
Now TV Sports + Entertainment + Cinema + Ultra Boost @ £34 pm (till April 2026)
1000/115 FTTP (Aquiss) to Zyxel DX3301
3 x Asus XT9s + + RT-AC58U V3 for WiFi (AP mode)
65" Samsung S92C OLED TV
C430 Samsung soundbar with subwoofer
6 other streaming TVs
43+ network connected devices
