Re: Sky Glass Gen 1 & 2: UI Lag
Main UI still lags if you go into sky store I not getting any lag at all and if I go into the playlist and look into a program Eps there no lag.most of the lag is on the home page.

Re: Sky Glass Gen 1 & 2: UI Lag
My turning itself off problem I've discovered now, is not a full turn off, but randomly while watching a TV program, the screen just goes black, no sound, you can then turn the turn off by the remote but it fails to come back on. You have to reset by the plug.
Doesn't seem to do this on YouTube etc.
So looks like the bug is maybe UI or how the live content is being sent to the TV.
My UI did seem faster last night though.

Re: Sky glass gen 2 ui very laggy
My tv sky glass gen 1 has been really bad since may .. I've spoken to sky rebooted systems including rooter etc but nothing is working..
apparently I was told they weren't aware of any issues and I'm the first person to mention it !!!
but judging by these threads many people are affected ..

Re: Sky Glass Gen 1 & 2: UI Lag
Ours seems a bit faster now but still a bit sluggish but that could just be normal UI
Gotta love tech stuff

Re: Sky Glass Gen 1 & 2: UI Lag
Very slow UI and will get to a point where the please wait for your program to load happens. Requires a restart. As other have said I am now in the habit of just restarting every morning. This doesn't help the laggy UI but it gets rid of the please wait for program to load issue for awhile. Gigabit Ethernet connection sky glass 55" gen 1 sky os 1.3 build QS037.026.00P

Re: Sky Glass Gen 1 & 2: UI Lag
I have the same problem but my sky glass chooses to freeze, change channels on its own and then turn itself off, speaking to live agents is a waste of time

Re: Sky Glass Gen 1 & 2: UI Lag
Also experiencing the same.
Note that sky have released a 2.0 version of sky glass. Could it be an intentional slowdown to push an upgrade? Poor choice. At this rate, I'll not be renewing.
Very slow UI. TV guide is smooth, settings menu is smooth, playback is as good as ever.
Maybe the UI is now so clogged with tiles you'll never use that it has become clogged owing to the sluggish behaviour.

As there's no upgrade route from Gen1 to Gen2 and the same issue affects both anyway, that would seem highly unlikely.

Had the usual, black screen this morning after watching for a mins. Hard reset at wall to fix.
This is now Sky Broken Glass

Re: Sky Glass Gen 1 & 2: UI Lag
Was watching sky news for about two minutes and am now staring at a black screen. This is ridiculous.

Additionally, people are also seeing it happen on their Gen 2 models as well. (Although, Gen 2 does have more powerful internals so it would make sense if things were smoother on the newer model).
