Sky Glass Gen 1 & 2: UI Lag

In the last couple of weeks the ui has become very laggy unresponsive, i have rebooted everything including router numerous times with no change.

my internet speed is stable at 250mb/s its becoming very frustrating.

Your account may be hosted on a very busy and congested Sky server, or your network connection is experiencing high levels of jitter. 
Try connecting via Ethernet cable and turn WiFi off in the settings. This caps network speed at 100Mbps but should give as stable a connection as possible. 
If you can't use Ethernet then try changing your WiFi channel as it may be getting interference. Sky Glass can be very sensitive to network speed and quality fluctuations, so even if it appears that you have a decent speed, if it's not consistent Glass will have issues.

I have noticed that our gen 1 glass is very laggy over the last couple of days and we are connected via Ethernet cable .....must be an issue sky's end

Sky 65inch sky glass in gloss black and complete sky package+ whole home, 49inch 4k HDR LG smart TV, 32inch LG HD smart TV,, EE 67mbps broadband, EE 5g mobile phone, PS4 and Acer aspire desktop pc i5 core.

I have noticed periods of a few days every so often where my gen 2 gets laggy - I tend to pull the plug for a few minutes ...... not sure it makes much difference really though.

Interestingly someone on the Stream board is reporting the same thing with their puck being sluggish but I haven't noticed this at all (yet).  The suggestion on that thread was also a reboot.

Noticed this too only the last couple of days on my sky glass gen 2 don't believe it's anything to do with my internet connection

I have this problem for the last few days as well.

 

sky glass generation 2.

Connected by cable.

internet speed 1 gigabyte.

Confirmed same issue with a brand new Sky Glass Gen 2.

I'm guessing a recent update bug for version: QS037.026.00P.

I've got mine hooked up on a near perfect Unfi WiFi 900Mbps setup, so pretty sure with others now reporting the same issue we can rule out network issues at this stage.

Through testing I've found it works normally until you go to watch any of the TV channels, they load and work but when you back out it lags really bad on the main menu UI.

However if you reboot or load an app, Netflix for example it quits the TV channel and restores performance?...

It's clearly some kind of server issue because that's where the bulk of SkyOS runs from. 

I'm surprised Sky haven't commented yet. A simple 'please bear with us whilst we carry out some housekeeping' kind of statement would help...
