Re: Sky Glass Blooming really bad

There's also another advert I've seen for it that has played out in the cinema this year, using the slogan; 'Like the cinema but in a TV'

That's hilarious, the only way it's like a cinema is you can eat popcorn while watching it, and sometimes there's noisy kids

Re: Sky Glass Blooming really bad

Well this has been an interesting thread to read.

I considered  getting Sky Glass and so glad I took the decision not to bother.

I managed to get a 2023 model Samsung S92C OLED 65" with a free soundbar for £980. While it is not the latest Samsung model, it is still more modern than Sky Glass and the picture quality is fantastic on Sky Stream, Roku, Apple TV and Firestick.

While Stream picture is great,  when my contract is up, I will ditch Stream for Now, now that you can get UHD picture quality and this allows you to watch on 3 or 4 tvs at the same time without the need for a puck.

I'm so disappointed with Glass. The picture quality is poor, connection drops out constantly (even using ethernet - why should I have to?), had 2 faulty remotes and I'm stuck - have I read correctly that I can't go back to SkyQ?

Hi @refjamie

It's interesting as I've had Glass and 4 pucks for 3 years and not had any of the issues you have described. I do think that there are a lot of environmental variables that can impact the experience.

There have been reports that you can go back to Q if you call Sky. You will however have to continue paying for your Sky Glass if you took this out on finance, and there will likely be a period without service as they terminate you Glass subscription and there is a wait for engineers to reinstall Q

You also have to configure Glass to work with Q as per this info: https://www.sky.com/help/articles/connect-q-to-glass
