Scam caller

Has anyone had a call from +44 800 479 0758? They called and new how long I had sky glass for and wanted to ask some survey questions and if I'd be interested in insurance for it... stupidly gave my full name and address but no bank details but now worried it was a scam. Can anyone confirm if they've received one from this number or similar ? Thanks

Re: Scam caller

@Millsey1234 It may have been from Sky Protect or Domestic & General. What name did they give?

It is hard to know for sure in this day and age if the number has been spoofed. If in doubt the best thing is to check with Sky if they have called.

As long as you didn't give them your password or bank details I don't think you need to worry unduly.

Re: Scam caller

Pretty sure he said sky protect but offered a insurance deal if I damage or need a replacement sky can send one next day etc, which I did decline but I only got spoofed when I asked a question about the glass glass and he said he'd transfer me to the relevant team and it said it couldn't match my phone number to an account which I thought was odd as I've only ever used 1 phone number for everything.

That's a legitimate but deeply annoying call from Sky acting as an introducer appointed representative for the 'Sky Protect Device Insurance' scheme underwritten by Domestic & General.
