Remote won't pair with TV, even after a new one has arrived

Sky glass won't allow the remote to pair, it's just not finding it at all. Done the 7 and 9 ,4 and 6,1 and 3 thing, nothing. It never comes up. Can't get to connected devices using voice command cause TV programs come up. I don't know what has gone wrong?

Thanks but it's sorted. 

 

Had to unplug and hold the power button in whilst replugging in,  wait for the red light to flash quickly then reboot/update software. 

 

Didn't come across that option anywhere had to ring sky.
