We access programmes via playlist and then sometimes just stop and start on there own, especially BBCI player ?

Find out moreSo the iPlayer will auto-play the next episode ( or an episode from a random show if thinks you might like) when you complete an wathcing a show. At the end of a show in iPlayer, if you don't want to watch the next episode, the best thing to do is to press the back button which will exit the current programme and take you back to the programme page within iplayer. From that point you are then safe to press the Home button and start to navigate around the rest of the Sky platform as usually.
If you don't press the back button and just press the home button, then as iplayer is still open it will start to autoplay whatever it has queued up. Its a bit mad really but unfortunately its the way that the iplayer works.

Hi Mark, no, that's not the issue. The issue is that a programme is playing, it could have been playing 5 minutes or 1/2 hour but it just starts pausing and playing on its own. We have to either rewind it to kind of reset it or keep pressing play till it stops.

It is specific to playlist programmes, any of them but the worst is BBCI player. Live programmes are perfect.

I have completed the re-set and the TV power on off but the problem still persists. Is there a tech No for Sky, I think I may need an engineer. I've tried everything now.

There are no engineers for Sky's streaming products, only the Q satellite service.
You'll need to try ringing Sky for further troubleshooting.
