That sounds like the download speed the TV is receiving isn't sufficient. If you are connected by WiFi this could be due to WiFi interference or small dropouts.
if you are using WiFi I'd suggest testing using an Ethernet cable, ensuring you also disable the WiFi in the glass settings. If you don't also disable the WiFi it will switch back over to it by default so you may notice no difference.

Re: My sky glass tv is constantly freezing and a message comes up saying waiting for program to load
Ours freezes or cuts the last 5 minutes off of some movies. Or waiting for data to download and we have fibre optic to the router.
so in theory we moved up to sky glass super fast internet, and the service is worse than the old system. Also if you're watching something on say channel 4 press record the ending as it's getting late.
Next morning go to watch the ending only to be told to sign up to ?? To watch the rest? On channel 4? I ask you what a piece of crap sky glass tv has turned out to be.

Correct, you need a C4 app account to watch content on the Channel 4 app. An account is free and can be upgraded to their premium offering to remove the ads from the app.

I wish I could give it back.
It's not fit for purpose.
I spend most of my time trying to get the thing to work.
Useless.

You would have to negotiate with Sky on the basis of continual, unsurmountable issues.

Re: My sky glass tv is constantly freezing and a message comes up saying waiting for program to load
Had my Sky Glass Air for 3 months and suffered the same problem as you and many more going by feeds from the community.Wrote a piece on here to hint that "IS THERE A CONNECTION PROBLEM"with the Sky Glass and the reply I got was it must be internet speed.Even though I have Virgin Media 350mb fibre optic.AND then advised to change my TV company if Sky Glass was'nt what I wanted.Thats after I'VE SPENT OVER £600 on a 65' Sky Glass Air.So is the problem with the Sky Glass or is it all down to the connection speed of our internet provider.?????

@KIP7 have you spoken to Sky? My Gen1 Glass works reliably on a 60Mbps wifi connection. Connection speed isn't the only criterion, though it's an important one. The connection needs also to be stable and, interference free.

Re: My sky glass tv is constantly freezing and a message comes up saying waiting for program to load
But my concern is that customer who buy Sky Glass/Air are not informed how critical it is about Internet speeds and download speeds. Plug and play is the advert but doesn't tell the whole story does it. My remedy "at the moment" is to switch off using remote but not at the plug ie standby. If I switch off at the plug it goes into re boot mode on start up and then have problems. Or is it me??

It does seem somewhat random as to whether customers have a good or a bad experience when it comes to Sky's streaming service.
As I've said on numerous other threads, there are many variables at play when it comes to home broadband networks. It's not just a simple case of speed any more, there are many (often hidden) factors which come into play. Be it interference, DNS settings, CGNAT connections, latency, ping, etc. there are several things which need to be taken into consideration and many of them are beyond Sky's and the customer's control.
SkyOS which runs on Glass TVs and Stream pucks is different to most other streaming services and TV operating systems in that it relies on a constant, stable connection to Sky's servers in order to maintain smooth functionality. Without this the service can and will struggle.
