This is an issue that doesn't get highlighted enough, the F1 catchup is an absolute disgrace, NEVER works as it should, right now if you try n watch the qualy replay you get Ted's notebook, you only find that out after sitting through the f*cking ads again and again, how come the 60 quid a year illegal streams can manage it perfectly.

It's useless. I've just posted a thread on a related topic.
I bought my sky glass a few months after it became available, because I wanted to watch F1 live and my new flat is in a listed building, so no Sky Q.
I was horrified in the first year at how bad it was. But I figured it was teething troubles. But here we are, 3 years later, and there is still just SO much wrong with it.
I'm likely to be in this flat for a while so I'm stuck with it. But the minute I move, I'll be doing things differently. It's obvious now that they're just not capable of sorting out the issues.

I opened up my playlist at about 9:30 and the, full qualifying show was available to watch as a cloud recording of the Main Event broadcast.

Just checked on my Sky Stream pucks also.
I did watch it live also for the qualy early this morning.
But just been into playlist and see the cloud recording of Qualy available to play. Says in synopsis it was recorded 5am.
Another way to find it is;
Home>On the playlist retail, scroll over to Sports>Scroll down and you will see either the F1 section or a tile for F1 Las Vegas, click on either of those and the Qualy currently is upfront in the listing.

Funny, because I just did that and it showed Q3 and Russell getting pole (at 9.45) then the qualy program started from the beginning at 10.00. Utter rubbish.

This is what I mean. It's so random. Different for the same person at random times through the day, and different for different people at the same time! They're incapable of providing a reliable service that always does what it says it does.

This is part of the problem, yes you may see Quali in the listing but when you select it and play it Practice session 3 is shown.
The F1 system has been getting worse.
Meanwhile I have no issue at all of watching it on Channel 4 from the start, as it says watch from start.
Why can't I do this with the dedicated Sky F1 channel?
Absurd.

Having to watch the qualifying on All4 as Sky have once again failed to do the basics with regards to Sky Glass and F1. What am I paying for exactly?
Terrible customer service once again.
why not look at what Channel 4 are doing as they are miles ahead of Sky in terms of not being totally useless. Well done Sky, well done.

For the second F1 weekend in a row we seem to have gone back to the way things were in the early days of F1 on Sky Glass, it does seem to vary from person to person as before. I checked this morning and there was no qualifying in play list, so I went to the "in case you missed it" section and that linked to a re-run of Practice, on the schedule qualifying re-run showed as starting at 8:30 & 9:30, the 8:30 program was Ted's notebook so I turned on at 9:30 and it was half way through quali 2. Given that the whole thing is automated you would expect it to be consistent across all users. We went through all this back in the early days of Glass and there was inconsistent results even though we were all using the same method of access. The concept of Sky Glass is good and works well as a central user interface for all channels across all networks but unfortunately it is the Sky channels that don't work. "Watch from start" hasn't worked properly for weeks and the ordering of episodes in the playlist keeps changing from oldest first to newest first, something else that supposed to have been fixed. I think unfortunately Sky have built something that isn't fit for purpose or is using inadequate technology and will never work properly.
For those of you who are new to Sky glass I'm sorry to say you will have to get used to this, some of us have spent hours on the phone and emailing Sky and the first thing you realise very quickly is that Sky don't care what you think and secondly they seem unable to identify the problem and fix it - its not in my nature to be negative but I have had Sky Glass from the early days and have seen the same problems fixed and re-occur over and over again not just with F1 but across the whole platform

I think every other Broadcaster is ahead of Sky with technology, Netflix is starting to show more and more live broadcasts and seem to be doing it without any problems, It is claimed that Sky were developing the concept with the catch up facility on Sky Q, which seemed to work quite well as I remember, I still think a lot of the problems are due to lack of capacity, if the process is automated the results should, assuming everyone is accessing it in the same way, always be the same good, or bad. On the other hand if the system hasn't got enough memory or disc space the result are likely to be inconsistent. It would then follow that Sky magically fix all the problems by creating or adding more storage only for the same problems to come back again as space becomes short again. The other thing I have noticed is that the amount of historic episodes of certain Sky programs that are available significantly reduces just before the problems get fixed. for example a few weeks ago there were about four or five week's worth of RaceDay live episodes in my playlist now there are only a couple of weeks worth and everyday the oldest one drops off plus the ordering keeps changing from oldest first to newest first. When I bought Sky I was told that programs would stay in your playlist for a year but Sky couldn't guarantee how long other broadcasters would make their programs available for, again it is Sky who are dropping programs sooner and other broadcasters are making their's available for ages.

As a little tip, you should avoid including the result on the post because people maybe be reading posts even though they haven't watched the program yet particularly as the topic of this thread relates to not being able to access the program.

I agree it isn't easy to avoid the results they are everywhere.
Sky don't help by putting all the F1 highlights and news items before the on-demand programs so you have to scroll past them to get to re-run only to find it doesn't work in which case you have to go and read the result anyway because you can't find it anywhere

Nice..
