Due to line of site after years I have been forced to go to SKY Glass. Oh my, first of all I was told UHD and advert skipping were free, but they are just a short time free then I have to pay. The cost of Glass service (not inculuding the TV) is more than SKY Q, but a much lesser service. I just went to watch F1 Qualifying, it says it is there, but then says unavailable. I'm paying £25 a month for sports and it is unavailable. I loved SKY Q but due to health and saftey they could no longer move the dish. Now i'm on SKY GLass and it is utter crap. They are also charging me more. I'm about to cancel everything. Please sort this out SKY as this really isn't fair.

Also i'm not going to let this go. It is a disgrass that F1 is unavailable. You took F1 from BBC. If you can't provide us with a way to watch your own channel, then you should give it to someone who can. I have worked in the video/unix server industry for 3o years and can't understabd why you won't sort out how quickly this can be uploaded. Rememberi'm paying £25 a momth (£5 mor ehtan my SKY Q service for it to be unavailable.

Utter rubbish, I don't know how else to out it it. RUBBISH. You are treatying your customers really really badly.
I had to wait for an engineer to come 4 times, before they eventually came. The manager promised to speak to the engineer about the sitution, but they didn't (what a suprise). Then they didn't keep a call back, which they promised. Now i'm stuck with SKY Glas which an absoultey downgraded crap service, but costs more 😞

I'll move your posts to the Sky Glass board as it's not a Sky+ issue. By the way, you aren’t addressing Sky Customer Services here as this is mainly a forum where customers help other customers. There will be no contact from Sky due to you posting on here. As for viewing F1 on Glass if you have a look through the Glass board you'll see a few other threads on this.

Find out moreI would also go back to Q if it was not for a dish location problem, however I think Sky release things before they are ready, it was the same with Q it took a long while before most of the bugs were sorted out. I think Glass/streaming has great potential but probably needs a year or two before it is ready.
It needs
Everything that is transmitted live to be available via the play list.
A common interface so apps are seamless.
Advert skipping, if a paid for addition needs to skip adverts and not just be an unreliable FF option.

There's a dedicated thread to f1 issues (not that it makes it better!)

Thanks - @Daniel0210 would you actually delete this post then. As I didn't realise it was public. I've had a really bad experience with Sky this last month and have been a customer for a very long time.
thank you for what you do 🙂

ITV 'took' F1 rights from the BBC in 1995 (for the 1997 season onwards), the BBC had them back for five years from 2008, then Sky 'took' a share of the races from 2012 (with subsequent exclusivity) because the BBC was seen by government as spending too much licence fee money on a minority interest 'sport'. F1 was never a protected event with guaranteed BBC participation and FIA was always going to sell rights to the highest bidder: UK rights are currently around £200 million per season and there's absolutely no chance the BBC (and probably not ITV) would offer anything like that.

There's no reason to remove the whole thread. Nothing really wrong with it and it might help another customer with a similar issue.

You weren't "forced" to have Sky Glass. Sky Stream might still have the F1 problems but it is very much a cheaper option than Sky Glass.

Sky force its customers to get products they don't want. That is the only thing they are good at. Selling with NO customer service.
