Deleting Apps

Does anyone know if you can delete apps from Glass?  If so, how?

Thanks.

The nearest to that is setting a PIN to control app access:

You can also add a PIN to TV apps that you don’t want your kids watching or using.

Once a PIN has been added to an app, you’ll need to enter that PIN every time to open it.

To add a PIN to TV apps:

  1. Press Home on your Sky remote.
  2. Scroll down and select Settings then Parental.
  3. Enter your Sky TV pin. Forgotten your PIN?
  4. Select PIN for Apps and apply a PIN to all apps or select individual apps.

To add or remove a PIN for an individual app, follow the instruction above but change it to ‘no’.

Reminder: You'll still need to set up separate parental control settings within each TV app. For more details, see the 'App parental controls' links above.

Re: Deleting Apps

@TimmyBGood - I was actually trying to think of ways to fix the Discovery+ issue that many are suffering right now.  Thought a delete / re-install might do the trick. Ah well, back to the drawing board I guess.

Thanks for your responses.

In Stream/Glass the equivalent of that is here:

On Sky Glass or a Sky Stream puck:

  1. Press Home on your Sky remote, then highlight Settings
  2. Press System management then Resets and updates and finally Refresh apps.
  3. You'll see a message that says, 'Your apps are being refreshed'.
  4. Press Dismiss to return to normal viewing.

The refresh can take 24 hours to complete.

Re: Deleting Apps

I'm going to have to go this route as well.

Quite ridiculous that we can't remove an app!

Sky has never permitted that kind of customisation: their hardware is not the same as a tablet or phone.

Re: Deleting Apps

I have a 65" sky glass TV and had it for 2 years and got to say it's the biggest pile of crap I've ever signed up for, my Amazon music app won't work when a few days ago it did now all I get is a blank screen, I've refreshed 2 times with no luck and don't want to do a factory reset as it's going to take ages to log into all other apps and download again, then there's the glitchy play when playing music plus I'm also getting lip since problems on random programmes and films I'm sick of being over charged for rubbish service and to call customer services takes on average 45 minutes to get through let alone sort the issue out so any recommendations anyone please?

@Delboylee

Have you tried pulling the plug for a few minutes on your tv and your router?

what speed are you getting ? You can check this in the glass Netflix app by going to the help section and selecting network test
