Re: Dark area in centre of Sky glass screen
Hi @Stuart1877
This can happen due to the nature of the FALD panels used in Glass. You will need to contact sky (this is a customer to customer forum, and we are fellow subscribers) and ask for the unit to be replaced under warranty.
The number can be found under the 'need more help' drop down on this page: https://www.sky.com/help/home as the forum doesn't allow us to post phone numbers.

Please Note: I am not a Sky employee. I am a fellow subscriber. Please do not PM me as they will not be responded to. Posting publicly to a thread increases the usefulness for all.

Dark area in centre of Sky glass TV ,worse depending on background colour
This could be caused by over-tightening of the stand at the rear of the TV. If sufficient pressure is used, this can press against the back of the LCD panel, causing it to appear darker.
It could also just be a poorly fitted panel and backlight array. The VA type panels used in Glass can be prone to screen uniformity problems, as can any backlit LCD TV, not just Glass. If it's noticeably distracting then definitely contact Sky and insist on a replacement which hopefully will be better.
