Hi there i am a sky Q customer which ive been with sky for 6 years i would like to move over to the sky glass as the price we're paying for our package will be pretty much the same as if we had it anyway.
problem is because of my debts were going out of control, i had to bite the dust last year and relent to an IVA. Now think i know what the answer is going to be but would there be any chance in hell that i would be able to pass any credit checks.
many thanks

Only Sky can answer your question?
But have you considered a Sky Stream Puck instead?

I think you already know the answer.
The thing about a credit agreement with Sky Glass is that it will saddle you with a long term loan for a further four years, at the end of which you're left with a very dated TV with little or no re-sale value. During this period the cost of the additional streaming TV subscription will undoubtedly rise. You will also need fast and stable broadband (at additional cost) in order for Glass to function at all.
Unless you are sure you can afford this then it's extremely unwise to even attempt to saddle yourself with more debt.
It would be worth speaking to Sky directly about your circumstances. In all honesty, if, like many customers, you are struggling with the cost of living, then sticking with Sky Q and requesting a reduction in your existing package would be a much better idea than adding more debt.
Good luck.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreThe other option is Sky Stream rather than Sky Glass which is a little box rather than a TV. This doesn't require a credit check and it is possible if you ask Sky for a price it may be quoted less than Sky Q (at least it was when I asked a few months ago on my renewal). So that could be another option if you wish to try and reduce costs.
its worth nothing the sky streaming platform is different to Sky q and it's not suitable for everyone. Some people struggle with the UI difference or the fact it doesn't do recordings and everything is on-demand catch up. Also is doesn't have as many channels as are available via satelliete.
