01- what are the Basic packages should we buy with the sky glass and what can we get free? Essentially you get nothing for free. The Sky Glass TV can be used without a Sky subscription but its pretty limited. Without a Sky subscription you can connect it to the WIFI are use apps (Netflix/ITV X/ C4, BBC Iplayer, Disney etc) and thats it. You can plug an ariel into the Glass TV and use it to get the DTT channel but it has to be disconnected from the internet in order to do this ( as its really designed as more of a backup feature incase a customer loses their internet and still wants to be able to watch some TV). Choice of packages is also limited, there is only one base package on the sky streaming platform which is Sky Entertainment + Netflix, and you can add other packages (Sky Kids, Sky Sports, TNT Sports, Sky Cinema) to this.
02- How is the quality of the pictures? And is it smart tv Its sort of a smart TV. Its not like other smart TVs though, its a TV design to work with Sky's streaming platform. You can't install your own apps, the apps you get are the apps Sky provide. Its different from smart TV as they all have local storage fir apps to run locally, the entire Sky streaming platform is run off of Sky's own servers, including all the apps. Its a smart TV designed in the height of the pandemic that has never bene updated, so tech wise its almost certainly not going to standup when compared with newer Smart TVs in the same price bracket.
03-Can we get it without sky broadband ? Yes - you just need a broadband service to your property which gives you at least 25-35 MBPs.
04-Do we neesto paytv licence ? Quite simply Yes
THANK YOU
Really if you want a new smart TV and also want Sky, you may be better off buying a Smart TV and instead subscribing to Sky Stream ( which is the same streaming service as Sky Glass, it just isn't built into a TV, they send you a little box to connect to your own TV instead to get essentially exactly the same service as Sky Glass).
