Blu ray player now needs to be on HDMI3

I had my bluray player connected via HDMI 1 before but now it says there is no signal and advisese to me to use HDMI3 and select older devices which I did.

Does anyone know why it's suddenly changed and I can't use HDMI1?

I like to watch film 5.1 surround which I could on HDMI1 but HDMI3 only allows for stereo sound.

Does anyone else have this problem? How can we get this resolved.

I spoke to an advisor and he said that it might be because of an upgrade but they can look into it if enough people complain about it.

Seems odd? Is your blu ray player quite old? Might be worth trying it with a different hdmi cable. HDMI 3 on glass is reserved for older devices that may have compatibility issues with modern hardware.
