Apple 4K on Sky Glass Washed Out
Apple 4K connected with hi-speed cable to Sky Glass 65"
On Dolby Atmos and even HDR, colours are washed out on the menus and content, e.g. Netflix logo looks orange and pale, not red.
Any solutions here?

Re: Apple 4K on Sky Glass Washed Out
Any danger that your Apple TV 4K box is outputting a Dolby Vision signal even when browsing non-HDR/regular SDR content?
Got a 1st gen Apple TV 4K box attached to our Glass via HDMI 2 with the following ATV 4K settings:
Video Settings:
Format: 4K HDR
Chroma: 4:2:2
Match Content: Match Dynamic Range = On, Match Frame Rate = On
This outputs SDR for non HDR content, HDR10 for HDR10 content and only outputs Dolby Vision for Dolby Vision content (rather than putting everything out as Dolby Vision, even when content & menus are not in Dolby Vision).
which HDMI port are you using on your Glass and are you using a reasonably up to date/new/fast HDMI cable?

Re: Apple 4K on Sky Glass Washed Out
Mis-typed there. Chroma should be 4:2:0 (it's 4:2:2 on our Apple TV box on the Sony TV downstairs)

Re: Apple 4K on Sky Glass Washed Out
Tried your suggested chroma settings, looks better.
Menu still washed out colours even with match content.
Do you not recommend Dolby over HDR?
HDMI is high speed.
On a further note, did you manage to get the volume buttons on the Apple Remote working? Or the Apple Remote to control the Sky Glass?
Thanks!

Re: Apple 4K on Sky Glass Washed Out
For an Apple TV 4K box I would always recommend the following video output settings:
Format: 4K SDR
HDMI Output: YCbCr
Chroma: 4:4:4
Match Content: Range & Frame Rate
This will output the native SDR for all content, including the Apple menus and automatically switch to the appropriate frame rate and dynamic range for whatever content you play. If Dolby Vision is available it will output it instead of HDR10 as long as the HDMI cable you are using is fast enough to pass it.
I have used these settings on both my Apple TV 4K boxes for 2+ years without issue. Neither are connected to a Glass TV however.
Glass uses a not very bright backlit VA type LCD panel. It won't ever be able to make HDR or Dolby Vision look hugely impactful. For that you need an OLED, mini-LED or more recent brighter FALD LCD panel.
