4.30am screen illumination

At 4.30am every morning our Skyglass standby light goes out and the screen illuminates in a blank grey colour with no sound for about 30 seconds, then the screen goes off and the standby light comes back on. Any ideas why??

How strange @Andyusher30 You could pull the plug for 30 seconds and then reboot it again to see if it stops it from happening in the future.

@Andyusher30 Do you have motion sensor turned off in your settings? If not, maybe do so.

It could perhaps be related to software updates as they tend to process overnight. Like with Windows on PC perhaps it needs to restart to finish installing?

I do remember seeing this from time to time on my old Gen One set but as it didn't lead to further issues or happened every day it didn't matter to me.

Do you have the tv in your bedroom if so I  would  turn off the motion sensor  in the settings  of the tv, as I have  done with  my 55inch gen 1 tv which  is in my bedroom  and I  have not had the problem of the tv coming  on

Re: 4.30am screen illumination

Thanks everyone for your responses.

Tried everything, tried the 30 second unplug, then unplugged it for 24hrs just to see if that would do anything, no change after reconnecting.

All motion sensor systems have been switched off since installation due to having dogs and regularly checked after disconnection from mains just in case settings have changed.

I think I will have to contact Sky about it.
