Focus group: Sky Community email notifications

What's this focus group about?

 

We're revamping our Sky Community email notifications and I thought it would be nice to get you involved as one of the main aspect we're targeting with the revamp is making our notifications as accessible as possible to everyone.

 

So, I'm now starting this dedicated discussion thread in collaboration with @DaveAccess hoping to collect feedback throughout the project and come up with brand new forum notifications that are not only informative, but also engaging and inclusive to all.

 

Main aspects we want to address 

 

  • Tone of voice - a bit too formal as our Superusers and Oracles have previously pointed out. So we'll adopt the brand's tone of voice in line with our other Sky customer-facing platforms
  • Content and engagement - we want to make sure that content is engaging and relevant to you, and that it contains useful information on the activities you can take up in growing your influence on Sky Community
  • Accessibility - we aim to reduce reading barriers and make email notifications accessible to all users

Focus group questions

 

  1. Do you receive forum email notifications?
  2. Are the forum email notifications relevant to you and accessible?
  3. What aspects of current notifications would you change?
  4. What makes a great email notification? (in case you're wondering, yes, you can share examples of third-party notifications you really like)

@Federica-C  Could formatting be looked at. Notification emails normally look like this

but some come through like this  which makes them for me unreadable

Now they look fine and readable posting them here. But in an email  on a phone or iPad not so much.

Is it because of the font size or the text boxes around it? The more detail, the better.
