Change channels remotely for cognitively impaired parent

My 90 year old Dad has Sky Q and loves his sport.  Whilst I call him just before games to remind him he struggles to find the channel.  He also struggles with the voice control.  It may be a ridiculous question but is there any way I can change the channels remotely for him (I live 200 miles away) via the app or iPhone etc.?   Thanks

Hi there @Dyf65

It's not a stupid question at all, but I'm afraid that's not possible. You can remotely set a programme to record if that would help, but not change the channel.

I'll take note of the idea though.

Thanks, Dave

@Dyf65 Could a Slingbox (https://www.slingbox.com/) work?

This allows access to a Set Top Box over the Internet, so if your dad has broadband, you'd be able to fully control the Sky box remotely

I have no experience with these but just know of there existence
