Sky Go Troubleshooting Tips

Sky Go App not working as it should? Check out our common troubleshooting steps:

 

Recordings on the Sky Q Box via the Sky Go app 

 

  • Check if anything changed on your package; have you cancelled / changed anything? This might be affecting your viewing experience.

  • Are you on the same Broadband connection that your Sky Q box is on?

  • Have you tried rebooting your Q box? Turn off the Q box at the wall, delete the Sky Go app and turn off your device. Wait 10 minutes, turn both back on and re-install the app.

 

Sky Go OSM 'You've reached the maximum number of people in your household who can watch content online at the same time'

 

  • Try rebooting the device the app is installed on

  • Check your package. Sky Go customers can stream on 2 devices. while Sky Go Extra and Multiscreen/Sky Glass can stream on 4 devices.

 

Change my Sky Go password to stop certain people using it

 

 

  • First change your password: https://skyid.sky.com/resetpassword/
  • Then go to this link: https://skyid.sky.com/authorise/manage
  • If you tick "Sky Apps" and then the remove button, then anyone using SkyGo or SkyNews or SkySports apps etc. using your credentials will have the previous auth token removed and will be forced to sign in again (using the new password only you know). Will mean people you want to use your ID will need to do the same, but will force whoever is using your previous details off, this might not stop them straight away but it will over a day or so.

 

Sky Go error code 1204

 

  • Did you activate Sky Go Extra today? If so give it 24 hours as it can sometimes take a while for it to fully activate on the account and thus allow you to use the Sky Go app on your device.
  • If you have Sky Glass as well as having Sky Go Extra you also need to have the Sky Glass Whole Home package before you can use the Sky Go app on a console as it states here: https://www.sky.com/help/articles/what-is-sky-go-extra

 

Sky Go error code 1310

 

  • If you left Sky and then returned, and are using your old login - it needs to be changed.

  • If you want to use the same email address then you need to first remove it from the old account first so log into the old account here: https://www.sky.com/myaccount/my-details

  • Then delete the email address by providing another one and logout of this account, this will then free it up to use when setting up your new Sky ID: https://www.sky.com/help/diagnostics/sky-id/sky-id

Tv guide on iPhone sky go app won't work everything else does 

Error code 50-2 keeps coming up when I try to access the Sky Go app on my I-pad. I have to delete app and reinstall it. Kave tried, switching off, rebooting, changing password but nothing works

I want to activate my free 6 month Apple + offer, but the SkyGo app on my phone has no VIP icon or any other way of getting there. How do I do that?

Since sky q fitted unable to get live tvonmy sky go app only if I use 4g  not on the WiFi

Sky go not working as no active internet connection but I have full internet connection on the device. 

Sky Q box won't come on unless it's rebooted every time, and often sticks.

I'm trying to watch Sky Go on a laptop and I'm getting the error code 1410. I've checked and I have the right subscription, my password and log in is all correct and yet I am unable to log in. 

I can watch it on my iPhone, so why can't I watch it on my laptop

When I go to watch sky go after logging in, it says you can't use sky go on this device yet, it's a PlayStation 4 

My Sky Go extra app does  not have a live pause or rewind facility. Neither does it show that the program I am watching is live.

I have uninstalled the app, rebooted my laptop then reinstalled the app with no change.

Can I watch Netflix on sky go and if so how 

Sky go app won't let me log in - says :due to a technical fault, try again later'

am trying to watch sky on my tv box but it kept coming up with error code 2019 0005. i reset the box then reinstalled sky go yet the same thing happens. how do i fix this problem. am using android 10

Skygo suddenly says "you need the relevant Sky TV subscription to watch this show Code 1410" nothing has changed on my subscription??????

Sky go doesn't work after update about 9th June 2024. Lots of similar msgs on help community. Reinstall - disappears. Emptied caches libraries. Used it for years. Using an iMac and does the same on MacBook with sonoma. Installs- disappears and sky app icon bounces and gone.

Sky Go doesn't appear to work on Microsoft's new Surface Pro 11 (ARM CPU). It shuts down without reporting an error after the initial checking for updates message. After applying the compatibility troubleshooter it gets as far as the login prompt, but crashes (no error mesages) before I have ime to enter my login credentials.

 

Anyone have any wrds of wisdom?
