Unlink I'd from old MySky

I have an old account that is still linked with MySky.  I now have a new acc but cannot access it through the app

You need to logout of the app.

 

As you left Sky and then returned after being away for a year then your account will have been closed as you have discovered so you will need to set up a new Sky ID to use.


If you want to use the same email address then you need to first remove it from the old account first so log into the old account here:


https://www.sky.com/myaccount/my-details


Then delete the email address by providing another one and logout of this account, this will then free it up to use when setting up your new Sky ID:


https://www.sky.com/help/diagnostics/sky-id/sky-id

 

Then login to the app with the new Sky ID you have created.

I recently ordered broadband from Sky again after being away for a couple of years. I want to use my old email and password for my new account number but it won't let me because of my old account. I have tried changing the email on my old account to free it up for the new one but it won't work, just says it doesn't recognise the email. I don't even know if I can delete the account completely, which I'm reluctant to try anyway incase it gets rid of my account on Skystore and deletes all the movies I've bought. Obviously, when I ordered my new broadband package I used my usual email. If I create a new sky I'd with a different email to the one I purchased the package with would this make a difference? Or do I have to use the email address I purchased the broadband package with? If I have to use the same email then I'm stuck! Can anyone help at all please before I have to ring Sky?
