Sky sports landscape mode not full screen

I have a Sony Xperia on Android 14.  Whether using the sky sports app or going to the website if i am watching highlights and turn to landscape the video is too big for my screen and full screen mode doesnt work. There is a blue bar across the top for the app. Makes landscape mode pointless and using portrait is too small.  Other places the video would adjust to fit the screen, even bbc!  Is this settings or a coding thing please?  Contacted support and was just genrric reinstall the app but this is browser as well.
