Sky VIP Apple+ offer

I login to the Sky website.

Under VIP offers it lists.

Apple+ TV free for 3 months.

I'm then directed to my phone app.

So open My Sky phone app.

Login and go to VIP offers.

The Apple+ offer is not listed.

So cannot start the offer.

Phone sky, cannot help contact Apple, given number.

Phone Apple, nothing to do with us, you need to contact Sky.

So phone Sky, this time make sure the I'm talking to someone that says that can talk about Sky VIP stuff. Explain the above.

The offer is only available via the phone app. Told to uninstall app or load it on another phone.

Did both. No luck.

Not happy, first VIP offers that looked worth it.

Seems I'm stuffed.

The offer isn't showing for me either now as im fairly sure it was there question so like previously when this offer was available it looks like it has just finished.

I would have thought the website will be changed sometime to remove it from there as well.

The offer is still on the Sky https://www.sky.com/pages/vip page as of 19.03 hours 14.05.2024

But not in the phone app.

The "support" person at Sky said the offer was still ongoing but did not know anything about their app.

The Sky app "support" person could not work out why I could not see the offer in the phone app.

It's possible it has been withdrawn and the website hasn't been updated.

The T&Cs of the offer were a bit wierd, there was no end date specified on when a code would be available and it just said the offer can be removed at any time and that users with codes have 30 days from the time the offer is removed to redeem it.

Strange as usually for these offers there are dates specified for claiming and redeeming or if not a date it says something like offer available for 100,000 codes or something like that.

Just got of the phone with sky.

Apparently the VIP rewards scheme does not have any support, like broad band, TV and mobile.

I have been told the Apple+TV offer should be in the Sky app on my phone.  Which it is not.

It is apparent to me the system at Sky for VIP offers is lacking any support for when things go wrong.

Hi all,

The offer is present under "Gifts & Discounts" area in the MySky app VIP section currently. 

Can I ask you have a look again at the app and double check this?

It is present for me now as you can see it before going into that section but it wasn't there yesterday.

Same for me now, yesterday the Apple+TV info/link was missing from the my sky app. Today it has returned!

Another question.

Why since this is an offer from Sky do I have to set up payment details direct with Apple?

Should the cost not be included in my monthly payments to Sky?

You need to set up an Apple ID and pay Apple directly for Apple TV+ . Sky do not currently offer payment for the service via Sky's own payment system. 

Apple offer frequent free trials via various services, not just Sky, so billing needs to be set up with Apple directly.

I'm having the same issue and just phoned Sky, it's still active. Advised to go into gifts and discounts section of the VIP app. There is no such category on my version of the Android app, so it looks like I can't claim this offer.

I'm pretty sure the Apple TV+ VIP offer expired the middle of October, and was then subsequently removed from the app. Its possible if you had already claimed the free trial but not activated it yet, you may still be able to do so via the email that would have been sent when the offer was claimed.

I thought it had maybe been removed so I phoned them yesterday just incase and was sent the following:

Open the My Sky app on your phone or tablet.

2. Select **Sky VIP** at the bottom.

3. Scroll down and select **Gifts and Discounts**.

4. Select the Apple TV+ free trial offer and enter your details.

5. Select the unique link to open the offer page where you can activate your subscription.

But there is no 'Gifts and Discounts' option in my app.

There is an Offer, gifts and discounts section on my app but this Apple TV offer isn't showing so as @MarkGoldsmith said above it looks like the offer has finished at present.
